As required by a moratorium, the city is studying the issue by talking with our law enforcement and school <br />officials, watching what other cities are doing to see what is working and what is not, and soliciting input <br />from the public. Download or print <br />application at RCWD's Website . The application window is expected to <br />open on January 1, 2023. <br />Everyone can improve water quality through their personal behaviors, <br />choices, and commitments. The Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) <br />offers multiple opportunities and cost -share programs to enable counties, <br />cities, and landowners to identify and implement water quality projects <br />and reduce runoff in the watershed. <br />The RCWD Mini -Grant Program provides eligible applicants with small grants (up to $500) to implement <br />projects that improve water quality in the watershed. A total of $10,000 is available for this program in <br />2023. <br />These grants are awarded on a first come - first serve basis to eligible and complete applications. Funding <br />for this program is limited. Applying does not guarantee mini -grant approval. If a grant is awarded, a cover <br />letter describing the project including the requested amount of reimbursement, copies of (paid) receipts, <br />and photos of the completed project must be submitted with the final request for dollars. <br />This is a reimbursement grant. The amount of the grant cannot exceed the cost of the actual project and <br />maximum $500 limit. Applicant labor or time is not eligible for payment. Projects must be completed no <br />later than December 1, 2023 (new timeline for 2023).
