City's Parks & Recreation Committee. This is an <br />upgraded drinking fountain (drinking, bottle filling, dog <br />accessible, ADA Compliant, stand alone). Laurie LaMotte <br />Memorial Park is a "sports based" park (Skate Park, Play <br />Structure, 3 Ballfields, Soccer Fields, & Pavilion) located near <br />Rice Creek Regional Park with trails connecting to the park <br />system. It is also the home of our City Celebration (Fete des <br />Lacs). Acorn Creek Park is a park that offers amenities such as <br />soccer field and large play structure. The park just received a <br />parking lot and 31 new homes within close proximity with an <br />additional 10 acre parcel to develop near by. Acorn Creek Park <br />has never had water access. <br />Project Goal(s) <br />Provide water access to the public and promote <br />convenience/healthy options/use of parks and trails while <br />having the ADA component.
