CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR ACTION Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: March 15, 2023 Administration/EDA 9.1 TITLE OF ISSUE: Budget Amendment BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: At the last meeting, the EDA discussed the budgeting and financial reporting for the EDA. There was general agreement that the 2023 EDA budget should be amended for the purpose of recognizing the market study agreement entered into with Loci. The contract calls for a total cost of $20,500. Staff believes that should properly be reflected in the budget and that the budget should remain balanced between planned revenues and expenditures. To that end, we propose amending the 2023 EDA budget with the addition of $20,500 to both revenues as a planned use of fund balance and expenditures to increase the professional services line item from $3,000 to $23,500. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Fund balance from prior year surpluses. REQUESTED ACTION: Staff requests that the EDA adopt the resolution as presented.
