<br />Approved <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission held in Council Chambers on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m. <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br />Present: Chair David Kubat <br /> Vice-Chair Krueger <br />Commissioner Darrell (DJ) Olson, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Richard Nelson <br /> Commissioner Les Kuiper <br /> Commissioner Thompson <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Vacancy: One <br /> <br />Staff: Administrator Mark Statz, Assistant City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br /> Council Liaison, Russ Koski, Attorney Kurt Glasser <br /> <br />II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />There were no changes to the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thompson, seconded by Vice-Chair Krueger to Approve the <br />Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS (6:39 PM or shortly thereafter) <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />V. AWARDS, PRESENTATIONS, APPEARANES <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Ordinance Review – Ord. #130, Section 130.03 – Discharge of Firearms <br />Chair Kubat introduced this item, noting that the P&Z spent considerable time in past months <br />discussing the ordinance. A public hearing was help in September 2022 and prior to completing <br />the ordinance, Attorney Glasser advised the Commission to table the item due to litigation risk <br />associated with moving forward (based on a supreme court case).
