<br />Approved <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission held in Council Chambers on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m. <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br />Present: Chair David Kubat <br /> Vice-Chair Krueger <br />Commissioner Darrell (DJ) Olson, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Richard Nelson <br /> Commissioner Les Kuiper <br /> <br />Absent: Commissioner Bruce Thompson <br /> <br />Vacancy: One <br /> <br />Staff: Administrator Mark Statz, Assistant City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br /> Council Liaison, Russ Koski <br /> <br />II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />There was one addition to the agenda. Under New Business, 1. Call for hearing on City Code – <br />Table of Allowed Uses (Table 156-a.1) was added. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kuiper, seconded by Vice-Chair Krueger to Approve the Revised <br />Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS (6:39 PM or shortly thereafter) <br /> <br />1. Proposed Amendments to City Code <br />a. Chapter 156: Temporary Dwellings & Structures <br />b. Chapter 71: Parking Requirements <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced the proposed amendment to the City Code, Chapter 156: Temporary <br />Dwellings & Structures, reviewing the existing ordinance, a summary of proposed changes and the <br />redline markup of the ordinance as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced the proposed amendment to the City Code, Parking Requirements, <br />reviewing the map and table provided in the packet. <br /> <br />Chair Kubat opened both public hearings at 6:47 p.m. There were not any citizens present at the <br />hearing, however, there were two written comments provided by citizens. A summary of comments <br />includes adding verbiage in the Temporary Dwellings & Structures ordinance that describes what a <br />tent is, how it’s erected, where it’s placed, and the amount of ground space it covers.
