<br />AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br /> <br />April 12, 2023 <br />____________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />State of the City Address <br />Mayor D. Love gave a State of the City Ad <br /> dress on Thursday, March <br />30 at St. Genevieve Community Parish. In case you missed it, Mayor <br />Love communicated that the state of the city is strong Î and the city <br />is growing and thriving. <br /> <br />The State of the City presentation highlighted city accomplishments <br />during 2022 and featured key initiatives on the horizon in 2023. <br /> <br /> <br />In 2022, the city council adopted a two-year strategic plan that <br />prioritizes three goals: (1) Economic Development, (2) <br />Organizational Resilience, and (3) Community Engagement. There <br />have been several ribbon cuttings and grand openings over this last <br />year, including Kwik Trip, NorBella Senior Living, Atlas Villas <br />Memory Care, Centerville Storage, Sutton Transport, First Choice Builds, American Roofing, and Amazon, <br />with Max Storage opening later this year. Active <br />development projects on the horizon include: 1737 Main <br />Street, Block 7, Block 5, and a hotel with a restaurant. <br /> <br />The State of the City also covered topics such as the <br />completion of the Centerville Elementary School <br />expansion, signature festivals in our parks & recreation <br />department, staffing additions in public safety, a parking lot <br />overlay in public works, a new website & mobile app and <br />history niche in administration, as well as the cityÓs Jr. <br />Councilmember program and Centerville Cares initiative. <br /> <br />To watch the presentation, click here. <br /> <br />VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES <br />Open Board Positions <br />Please call city hall at 651-429-3232 with any questions you may have regarding the <br />following openings.
