If you are interested in applying scan the QR Code to the right or <br />visit the CityÓs web site for an application under News and Announcements. <br /> City Council Î Open Seat <br />o Meets twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 6:30 <br />p.m., in chambers <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee Î Open Seat <br />o Meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., in chambers <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission Î Open Seat <br />o Meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., in chambers <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Second Annual Skate/Sled Night <br />The Committee held their second Skate/Sled Night on Friday, February 10, 2023. Approximately 70+ <br />people participated and a good time was had by all. A big Thank You to Wargo Nature Center for providing <br />the snowshoes, kick-sleds and fat tire bikes for the event. The Committee provided free popcorn, sÓmores, <br />a bonfire, hot cocoa and prizes for lucky individuals. Thank you all for attending. <br /> <br />Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) Grants <br />The Committee authorized staff to submit for two (2) SHIP grants for drinking fountain installations in <br />Laurie LaMotte and Acorn Creek Parks and the installation of a bike ÐFix-ItÑ station within Laurie LaMotte <br />Park. Upon submission, award notification would be received by April 1, 2023 if successful. <br /> <br />Music in the Park Pre-Planning <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson is diligently working to secure <br />performers/bands for this yearsÓ Music in the Park Series. The <br />performances will take place Tuesday evenings commencing June 13- <br />27, July 11-25 & August 8-15, 2023 at 6:30pm-8pm at Hidden Spring <br />Park. Picnic tables will be on site for first-come, first served use.
