Hydrant Repairs
Can you find the hydrant in the snowbank? This one was hit by a
county plow truck. ItÓs a reminder of what a tough job plowing can
be. We are happy to report that the plow driver was not injured
during the incident. Our public works team has assessed the
situation and the water main was not damaged, so the repair can
wait until spring. Of course, our county friends will be picking up
the tab for the repair.

Fun Facts:
1) Those candy-caned poles attached to hydrants are so that we
can find them in a pile of snow
2) The poles are supposed to be pointing straight up!
3) Hydrants have a break-off flange designed to do just that
Ðbreak offÑ when they are hit.

Hydrant hit by county plow truck
City Hall Parking Lot Lighting
The City Council reviewed and approved plans for proposed lighting
at City Hall.
