Administrator’sReport <br />April 26, 2023 <br />____________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES <br />Open Board Positions <br />Please call city hall at 651-429-3232 with any questions you may have regarding the <br />following openings. If you are interested in applying, scanthe QR Code to the right or <br />visit the City’s website for an application under News and Announcements. <br />Parks & Recreation Committee – Open Seat <br />o Meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., <br />in chambers <br />Planning & Zoning Commission – 2 Open Seats <br />o Meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., in chambers <br /> <br />PARKSANDRECREATION <br />Annual Park Cleanup <br />We need volunteers for this event, please <br />join the Committee and other volunteers <br />on Saturday, April 29, 2023 with a rain <br />date of May 6, 2023. The Committee <br />will meet at City Hall at 9 a.m. and <br />disburse from there. Eagle Park needs <br />additional cleanup activities associated <br />with the removal of several trees in 2022. <br />Annual Fete des Lacs Logo Contest <br />The annual Fete des Lacs Logo Contest <br />is taking place. You may also pick up a <br />form at City or find one on the website. <br />Entry ages are grades K-5 and grades 6- <br />8. First prize willland the lucky artists <br />$100, second prize is $50 and honorable <br />mention is $25. Prizes will be given both <br />at the Middle and Elementary School <br />levels. The deadline for entries is May 3, <br />2023. The Fete des Lacs theme this year <br />is a “Blast from the Past”. If you are <br />interested in entering the contest,visit <br />the City’s website “News & <br />Announcements” section or utilize the <br />QR Code to the left for more <br />information. <br />Statewide Health Improvement Partnership Grant Submissions <br />The Committeewas successful with their submissions of two (2) Statewide Health Improvement Partnership <br />(SHIP) grants. Council has recommended acceptance of the grants awaiting agreements and the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee’s recommendation for purchase of the equipment. The City was notified that it would <br />be receiving $6,000 for the Bottlefiller, w/Drinking Fountain & Pet Station for Laurie LaMotte Memorial <br />Park and a Bottlefiller, w/Drinking Fountain & Pet Station for Acorn Creek Park. <br /> <br />
