City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />April 4, 2023 <br /> <br />Assistant Administrator Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet, noting stacking issues <br />identified by staff at the City of Woodbury. Discussion ensued about placement of a medical <br />treatment facility in Centerville, as well as proposed language revisions in the city’s Zoning <br />ordinance. Staff will continue to research what other communities are doing and bring some <br />additional information back to the Commission in May. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. City Code Chapter 156, including Table 156.A.1 (Allowed Uses) <br />This item was discussed during the public hearing portion of the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kuiper seconded by Commissioner Thompson to accept the <br />proposed changes to City Code Chapter 156, including Table 156.A.1 as presented. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Resignation of Commissioner Kubat <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item. Commissioners expressed their appreciation for David <br />Kubat’s service and his valuable contribution to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Vice-Chair Krueger, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to accept David Kubat’s <br />resignation, and declare a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed sending a letter to David Kubat expressing their gratitude for his service. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued about sending a letter to former Chair Kubat thanking him for his service. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kuiper, seconded by Vice-Chair Krueger to send a letter to David <br />Kubat thanking him for her service to the city and on the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Assignment of Chair/Vice Chair Positions <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item. Discussion ensued about appointments as a result of the <br />recent Board vacancy. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued about the following nominations: <br /> Commissioner Les Kuiper as Chair <br /> Vice-Chair Jon Krueger as Vice-Chair <br /> Commissioner Darrell Olson as Alternate Chair <br /> <br />Motion by Vice-Chair Krueger, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to appoint Commissioner <br />Les Kuiper as Chair, Jon Krueger as Vice-Chair, and Darrell Olson as an alternate.
