ANOKA COUNTY <br />Regional Economic Development <br />Scoring Considerations: <br />• Describe the project. Please detail the site, development potential, importance to the <br />community, site complexities and compliance with municipal land use plans (zoning, <br />comprehensive plan, etc.) <br />0 0-10 pts <br />• Type of project <br />o Development project with identified end -user but without a purchase agreement <br />-10pts <br />o Development site without a potential end -user or purchase agreement, or <br />community economic needs studies or related plans - 6 pts <br />• Timing of development potential (any infrastructure extensions needed, etc.?) <br />o Infrastructure is readily available at the property line or on site, per local building <br />standards — 10 pts <br />o Infrastructure needs to be extended but can happen in 12 months or less — 6 pts <br />o Infrastructure needs to be extended and timeline to implement is 12+ months — <br />3 pts <br />• Financial contribution: <br />o While not required, those sites that have financial contributions from the <br />property owner, municipality, or utilities/industry will score higher. <br />■ 50% or higher contribution — 10 pts <br />■ 25%-49% contribution — 8 pts <br />■ 10%-24% contribution — 5 pts <br />■ 1%-9% contribution — 3 pts <br />■ No contribution — 0 pts <br />• Limit per community <br />o No more than two (2) applications will be awarded per community during initial <br />application cycle, due May 4, 2023. Beyond the initial application cycle, there <br />will be no limit on applications within a given municipality. Applications will be <br />received and reviewed until funds are exhausted. <br />o If more than two (2) applications are received for a given municipality prior to <br />the initial application deadline, the two highest scoring sites will be initially <br />awarded. The remaining applications will be considered after the initial <br />application deadline if funds remain available. <br />Minimum Score Required for consideration: 20 pts <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />
