ANOKA COUNTY Regional Economic Development Scoring Considerations: • Describe the project. Please detail the site, development potential, importance to the community, site complexities and compliance with municipal land use plans (zoning, comprehensive plan, etc.) 0 0-10 pts • Type of project o Development project with identified end -user but without a purchase agreement -10pts o Development site without a potential end -user or purchase agreement, or community economic needs studies or related plans - 6 pts • Timing of development potential (any infrastructure extensions needed, etc.?) o Infrastructure is readily available at the property line or on site, per local building standards — 10 pts o Infrastructure needs to be extended but can happen in 12 months or less — 6 pts o Infrastructure needs to be extended and timeline to implement is 12+ months — 3 pts • Financial contribution: o While not required, those sites that have financial contributions from the property owner, municipality, or utilities/industry will score higher. ■ 50% or higher contribution — 10 pts ■ 25%-49% contribution — 8 pts ■ 10%-24% contribution — 5 pts ■ 1%-9% contribution — 3 pts ■ No contribution — 0 pts • Limit per community o No more than two (2) applications will be awarded per community during initial application cycle, due May 4, 2023. Beyond the initial application cycle, there will be no limit on applications within a given municipality. Applications will be received and reviewed until funds are exhausted. o If more than two (2) applications are received for a given municipality prior to the initial application deadline, the two highest scoring sites will be initially awarded.
