"Apartments" and <br />"townhomes" were also mentioned as housing <br />types that are needed. Affordability also <br />appears to be a theme. <br />Restaurant and Retail Questions <br />Figure 6.3 shows how respondents ranked current <br />restaurant and retail options in the City of <br />Centerville. Figure 6.4 shows a word cloud of <br />responses when asked what types of restaurants <br />Centerville needs. Figure 6.5 shows a word cloud <br />of responses when asked what types of <br />restaurants Centerville needs. <br />■ In general, respondents are less satisfied with <br />restaurant and retail options in Centerville. <br />The majority of respondents (66.5%) ranked <br />the restaurant options either one or two stars. <br />Retail options are considered worse, with three <br />quarters of respondents (75.6%) ranking retail <br />as one or two stars. <br />■ For restaurants, the general theme from the <br />respondents is that there should be more <br />restaurant options overall. Some respondents <br />want fast food, some want more sit-down <br />options, some want more ethnic food options, <br />some want more chains, and some want more <br />independent restaurants. <br />For retail, respondents expressed a similar <br />theme of more options overall. Other typical <br />responses were "grocery store," "pharmacy," <br />"hardware store," and "Target." <br />Downtown Vision Question <br />Figure 6.6 shows a word cloud of responses when <br />asked what Downtown Centerville should look <br />like in 10 years. <br />■ Respondents frequently used the words <br />"restaurants," "shops," and "housing." The <br />communities of Stillwater and White Bear Lake <br />Page 182 <br />come up frequently as well. <br />
