City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 8, 2023 <br />Due to Council Member King’s absence, Administrator Statz provided the Council with a brief <br />update from the recent Parks & Recreation Committee meeting stating that discussions took place <br />regarding revitalizing the Fete des Lacs 5k/8k Runs and the Paddle events. He stated that the <br />planning for Music in the Park food offerings and a listing of performers was coming together <br />with an anticipated lineup shortly. He stated that they also discussed ADA equipment, replacing <br />audio equipment, an upcoming event (Shake Your Shamrock), Park Clean Up Day (April 29, <br />2023, 9 a.m.), Main Street Market vendors and Skate Night attendance. <br /> <br />Junior Council Member Shaw reported that Spring break was current happening and the Girls Hockey <br />Team lost to Minnetonka in the last few minutes of the game. He stated that they played a good game. <br /> <br /> Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Vacant <br /> Parks & Recreation – No update <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council – No update <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that the Commission <br />th <br />would meet on the 14 of March where they would be hold Public Hearings for Language <br />Amendments for the City Code regarding Temporary Structures and Parking. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that the next meeting was <br />scheduled for April 20, 2023. <br /> <br />c. King - <br /> Economic Development Authority – No report was given. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – No report was given. <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee – No report was given. <br /> Fire Protection Council – No report was given. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher stated that the next <br />meeting was scheduled for March 15, 2023 <br /> Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher stated that the next meeting was <br />scheduled for May 8, 2023. <br /> <br />e. Love – Mayor Love stated that there would be a State of the City Address similarly to what other <br />communities have done which includes the Mayor providing information at a meeting of <br />residents, peers, local dignitaries, etc. He stated that planning is coming along nicely and it would <br />be scheduled for later this month. He stated that he would be attending “Day at the Capital” <br />representing the City. <br /> North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love provided no report. <br /> Police Governing Board – Mayor Love provided no report. <br /> Other Mayoral Reports - Mayor Love provided no other reports. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
