Comments from City Planner Phil Carlson on Block 7 Concept Plans <br /> <br />Comments: <br /> <br /> Block 7: <br />o Of the three concepts. Concept A seems awkward with the 4-unit building in the <br />middle, B is a little better, but I think C is best. It is simpler with fewer units but <br />leaves a little open space for the residents and doesnÓt have so much pavement. <br /> <br />o On all concepts the corner units could come out close to the street (red line below) <br />to help create the downtown feel: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />o The architecture is obviously their stock styles and not really ÐFrench QuarterÑ. I <br />think with a little effort they could modify to make it meet the design framework <br />better on that score. <br /> <br />
