City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 26, 2023 <br />(2058E-2064E) & Voided Check # 35866 <br />2. Centennial Lake Police Department Claims through February 3, 2022 (Check <br />#14198-14212), (E202207-202209), Payroll (Check #14196-14197) <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims through April 25, 2023 (Check #9400-9489) <br />4. Escrow Release Î Peterson Shores <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for members to pull items for additional discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member King to Approve of the Consent <br />Agenda as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Lions Request for Refund of Donation (September, 2021) and Refurbish sign at Tracie <br />McBride Memorial Park <br /> <br />Mayor Love stated that the item was discussed at the earlier Work Session with two representatives of <br />the Centerville Lions being present. He stated that discussion was hard regarding the removal of the sign <br />by someone other than City Staff and that with this exception that would be illegal. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Koski to authorized the <br />Centerville Lions to Remove and Refurbish the Sign at Tracie McBride Memorial Park as <br />Requested. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Koski to Refund the $500 <br />Donation from the Centerville Lions Received in September, 2021 as Requested. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Water Tower Cleaning <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis stated that every several years, the City completes cleaning of the <br />water town to extend the life of the paint and exterior appearance. She stated that City Staff has received <br />several quotes and would recommend the quote submitted by Kangas Tank for $7,800. She also stated <br />that the firm is responsible and has worked for the City in this capacity in the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King to Approve the Water <br />Tower Cleaning Bid Presented by Kangas Tank for $7,800. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Lions Club $500 donation to P & R to Specifically to P & R <br /> <br />Mayor Love thanked the Centerville Lions Club for the generous donation to Park & Recreation programs <br />and formally accepted the donation on behalf the Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Taylor to Accept the $500 <br />Donation to the Parks & Recreation Programs. <br /> <br />Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br />
