aĻƒƚ <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & Council <br />FROM: Parks & Recreation Committee <br />SUBJECT: Use of Cannabis in Public <br />DATE: August 2, 2023 <br />The Committee met and discussed the new laws and the sample, proposed language that the City <br />of Detroit Lakes is considering, along with many other communities, regarding regulating adult <br />use of Cannabis in parks and open spaces within their community. The Committee supports the <br />proposed language amendment to the CityÓs Code similar to Detroit Lakes, with modifications <br />being made by the City Attorney as fit. <br />The Committee will be addressing the use of tobacco products within the parks in the future. <br />
