Ste 202
Vadnais Heights, MN 55110
Ph 763-515-2360
TTEP@Association-Experts.com

August 17, 2023

RE: Extension Request for Tree Removal Demand

To City Council,

The Association received the enclosed correspondence, dated 8/11/23, on 8/15/23. The Board
President met with Dan and Paul from the City 8/16 to evaluate the situation. They
recommended waiting until the ground is frozen to bring equipment on site to remove the trees.

The Association will have the trees evaluated as soon as possible to obtain bids for removal as
well as an arborist Ó s opinion to identify any imminent hazards, and will act in accordance with
his or her best advice. However, the Association is not confident it can accommodate the
original request to have all trees indicated in the letter removed by 8/25 due to the reasons below.

Given the following conditions È
The timeline needed to get competitive bids from certified arborists to safely remove the
trees,
The precarious placement of the trees in relation to the neighbor Ó s property,
the fact that the neighbor appears to have many personal items items stored directly
underneath the trees in question (see photos enclosed from 8/16), which seem to be on the
AssociationÓs property without the Association Ó s permission, and which seem to
encumber the Association to freely work on its own property,
and the advice from Dan and Paul from the City,

È the Association respectfully requests an extension on the timeline to remove the trees to
February of 2024, or another future date deemed suitable by the Council.

This extension would allow the situation to be fully evaluated by an arborist, would allow the
neighbor to remove his or her personal property apparently stored without permission on the
Ass ociationÓs property, and would ensure the Association has the option to remove the trees
unencumbered and when the ground is frozen enough to mitigate damage to the surrounding
area.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this item, please contact me if you have any
questions.
Jon Oie
Community Association Manager
763-515-2360
ttep@association-experts.com

Your Property is Our Priority
