CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting <br />Date: , 2023 <br />Administration <br />I. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Resolution 23-0XX Establishing No Parking Zones (New and Existing) <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />With the extension of Fairview Street, the construction of Michaud Way and the reconstruction of streets <br />downtown, it became appropriate to revisit the city's no parking zones. Attached is a table and map showing <br />existing and proposed no parking areas. The Planning & Zoning Commission discussed and held a public <br />hearing on the issue. Although no public comments were offered during the public hearing, a local landowner <br />subsequently submitted his thoughts on the matter (also attached). The comments stem from discussions <br />regarding trucks queuing on Main Street, waiting to enter the property.
