CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />September 20, 2023 <br />Administration/EDA <br />VII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Partner Agency Report <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />ACRED - In partnership with MN DEED and the 7-county metro county economic developers, the County is <br />hosting a joint webinar for area manufacturers regarding the federal Foreign Trade Zone program on September <br />27th from 12:00pm-1:00pm. This is an economic development tool that helps business importers/exporters <br />with Customs duty fees on products coming in or out of Minnesota. <br />Quad Area Chamber - The Lunch & Learn - Network in Action - will be held on September 20th from <br />11:30-1:00pm at Pizza T in Lino Lakes. <br />HBA - The HBA held their semi annual breakfast with the Mayor and he provided an update on the state of the <br />city. See attached summary of updates. Kids n' Biz event will be held on September 30th from 9:00-12:00pm at <br />the Oneka Elementary School gym/cafeteria.
