Among the statistics shared was the rate of warnings vs. citations issued. <br />The department prides itself on educating the public whenever possible rather than punishing them. As <br />you can see, officers give out warnings almost 4 times more often than tickets. <br /> <br />Click here to read the full report. <br /> <br />Police Governing Board <br />The Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board met on August 14 and <br />conducted the swearing-in of 3 new officers, the promotion of Officer <br />Schroeder to the rank of Corporal and the witnessed the presentation <br />of the American Legion’s Officer of the Year award to Corporal John <br />Krueger. <br /> <br />After all the pomp and circumstance, the board considered and <br />ultimately approved the 2024 budget for the department. The budget <br />includes the addition of one new officer, with the potential to add a <br />second new officer if a federal COPS grant is received. The meeting <br />also included a thorough discussion of the tri-city funding formula. <br />Various proposals for adjusting the formula were brought forward. <br />The board tabled the item for further research and discussion.
