PARKS & RECREATION <br />New Bike Repair Station <br />A new bike repair station was installed along the regional trail, in <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. Trail users now have a spot to do a <br />quick tune-ups/repairs while they are utilizing the trail system. The <br />equipment was paid for through a grant from the MN Department of <br />Health as part of their Statewide Health Improvement Partnership <br />which is administered by Anoka County. <br /> <br />nd <br />2 Annual Trunk or Treat & Halloween Hustle 5K <br />The Committee is again planning this event, in collaboration with <br />the Centennial Community Education Department and Centennial <br />Alumni Assoc. The event will take place on Saturday, October 28, <br />2023, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Public Safety (PD/FD), a City <br />Snowplow and M-Health Fairview Ambulance will be on hand with <br />their vehicles, adding Touch-a-Truck to the event. Facepainting by <br />Linda will also be onsite and is free. There were more than 200 participants last year. To register for the <br />5K, click here. Check-in is @ 8:45 a.m., run @ 9:00 a.m. To register for a booth at the Trunk or Treat <br />event, click here, <br /> <br />CENTERVILLE CARES <br /> Child Care Assistance <br />If you or someone you know would like to work or attend classes, but cannot <br />due to the expense of day care then you’ll want to check out Anoka County’s <br />Child Care Assistance program. The Child Care Assistance program helps <br />families pay for childcare with state and federal funds. Family size and <br />income determine eligibly.
