Approved <br /> City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session Meeting Minutes <br />August 23, 2023 <br />was customary to account for funding through the Water and Sewer Enterprise funds for a portion of the <br />costs ($6,000) and the General Fund ($6,000). He also explained that there was an increase of just over <br />$343,000 in the General Fund expenditures with the vast majority of the anticipated increases being due <br />to public safety increased costs (Centennial Police - $155,000 and Centennial Fire - $58,000 which would <br />be partially offset by the one-time State Public Safety grant of $171,000. He reported that Staff had <br />verified with ABDO that it was appropriate accounting methods to recognize the Public Safet grant as <br />revenue for 2024. <br /> <br />III. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Love called for a moment of silence in memory of Council Member King due to his passing. <br /> <br />Mayor Love stated that Council would be honoring/memorializing Council Member King at their next <br />meeting due to scheduling with the family. <br /> <br />1. City Administrator Statz <br />stated that the Met Council Representative, Mr. Tim Anderson, who was scheduled to appear before them <br />would not be attending due to his recent resignation from the Council.
