Station 3 Remodel <br />The remodel of the stationÓs office, <br />kitchen and meeting space is now <br />complete! The crews have enjoyed <br />their new training room. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Block 7 Property (Downtown) <br />Kennedy Property Development <br />The City Council reviewed a request <br />from Kennedy Property Development <br />(KPD) for the development of Block <br />7, with row-style townhomes, similar <br />to those proposed by Centra Homes. <br />Their proposal included some <br />additional requests for city fee <br />reductions, beyond what previous <br />proposals have sought. The Council <br />has asked staff to continue negotiations with the developer and work towards a formal proposal. <br /> <br />1737 Main Street (Block 3) <br />City staff has been working with our realtor to find other potential buyers for the property. There are no <br />current proposals. <br /> <br />7087 Centerville Road Î Connor James Salon (Block 8) <br />The property owner updated city staff on the plan to complete the required fencing and minor landscaping <br />behind the building. Both are on track to be completed this season. <br /> <br />1687 Westview Street (LaLonde Property) <br />The owner of the site has chosen a developer to work with on a proposed redevelopment project for the <br />site. Ebert Companies is a builder and developer, based in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities and has <br />experience building multi-family complexes in suburban and rural settings. They are gearing up for a <br />presentation to the City Council on October 25. <br /> <br />Staff has engaged with our TIF consultant to look at the preliminary feasibility of using TIF on this <br />proposed project and to get an idea of how much increment could be provided, if necessary. <br /> <br />stnd <br />Old Mill Estates 1 and 2 Additions <br />Close-out of the developmentÓs Rice Creek Watershed District Permit is the main remaining item which <br />needs to be addressed before we can look at closing out the development escrow. <br /> <br />Centerville Storage <br />The facility is now open for business. The developer has completed drainage corrections along the north <br />side of the facility and will continue to work on watershed permit close-out. <br /> <br />Bay View Villas (Waterworks Site) <br />The developerÓs landscaping crew has begun work near the dock access area. Watershed permit closure is <br />also required, prior to release of the development securities. <br /> <br />Rehbein Commercial <br />Developer securities have been received by the city for 35% of the initial project costs and will be held <br />through the 2-year warranty period, which will end in 2024. The contractor has made recent efforts to <br />establish turf in the boulevards of the development and is working towards a close-out of their Rice Creek <br /> <br />
