In, INF.1910ADili :7111:III ONM1101.`19LIaON N1WLIIN) Yff. :IF.19113! <br />124.1 (1) "managed natural landscape" means a planned, intentional, and maintained plantin <br />124.2 of native or nonnative grasses, wildflowers, forbs, ferns, shrubs, or trees, including but not <br />124.3 limited to rain gardens, meadow vegetation, and ornamental plants. Managed natural <br />124.4 landscapes does not include turf -grass lawns left unattended for the purpose of returning to <br />124.5 a natural state; <br />124.6 (2) "meadow vegetation" means grasses and flowering broad -leaf plants that are native <br />124.7 to, or adapted to, the state of Minnesota, and that are commonly found in meadow and <br />124.8 prairie plant communities, not including noxious weeds. "Noxious weed" has the meaning <br />124.9 given in section 18.77, subdivision 8; <br />124.10 (3) "ornamental plants" means grasses, perennials, annuals, and groundcovers purposely <br />124.11 planted for aesthetic reasons; <br />124.12 (4) "rain garden" means a native plant garden that is designed not only to aesthetically <br />124.13 improve properties, but also to reduce the amount of stormwater and accompanying pollutants <br />124.14 from entering streams, lakes, and rivers; and <br />124.15 (5) "turf -grass lawn" means a lawn composed mostly of grasses commonly used in <br />124.16 regularly cut lawns or play areas, including but not limited to bluegrass, fescue, and ryegrass <br />124.17 blends, intended to be maintained at a height of no more than eight inches. <br />124.18 (b) Managed natural landscapes may include plants and grasses that are in excess of <br />124.19 eight inches in height and have gone to seed, but may not include any noxious weeds and <br />124.20 must be maintained. <br />124.21 (c) Except as part of a managed natural landscape as defined in this section, any weeds <br />124.22 or grasses growing upon any lot or parcel of land in a city to a greater height than eight <br />124.23 inches or that have izone or are about to ao to seed are prohibited. <br />124.24 Sec. 10. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 428A.01, is amended by adding a subdivision <br />124.25 to read: <br />124.26 Subd. 7. Multiunit residential property. "Multiunit residential property" means: <br />124.27 (1) property classified as class 4a under section 273.13, subdivision 25, paragraph (a); <br />124.28 (2) condominiums, as defined under section 515A.1-103, clause (7), that are classified <br />124.29 as class launder section 273.13, subdivision 22, paragraph (a); class 4b under section <br />124.3o 273.13, subdivision 25, paragraph (b), clause (1); class 4bb under section 273.13, subdivision <br />124.31 25, paragraph (c), clause (1); or condominiums under chapters 515 and 515A established <br />Article 3 Sec. 10. 124 <br />
