<br />Not Approved <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AND MEETING <br />OCTOBER 25, 2023 <br />5:00 & 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City Council <br />Work Session & Meeting on October 25, 2023 in Council Chambers of City Hall and the Regular Council <br />meeting was live streamed by North Metro TV at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION MEETING <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor D. Love called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Council Member Raye Taylor (Via Zoom) <br />Junior Council Member Rowan Shaw (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />ABSENT: City Attorney, Kurt Glaser <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator, Mark Statz <br />Assistant City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br /> <br /> <br />II. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. City Council Candidate Interviews <br /> <br />a. 5:00 – Mrs. Dawn Kalina – Via Zoom <br />b. 5:15 – Mr. Tony Smith <br />c. 5:30 – Mr. Terry Sweeney <br />d. 5:45 – Mr. Matthew McCabe <br />e. 6:00 – Mr. Bryce Wasiloski <br /> <br />All applicants appeared at their scheduled time and answered a uniformed set of questions. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the processes required for filling the vacancy, individual candidates their <br />individual backgrounds and the Council stated their appreciation for individuals coming forward to fill <br />the vacancy left by the late Council Member King. <br /> <br />It was stated that on Council’s regular agenda, there was an item to appoint an applicant to fill the vacancy <br />and Council hoped that they could complete this action this evening. If not, it was stated that they could <br />recess their regular meeting to the to a Closed Executive Session to allow for more discussion a Special <br />Meeting would be held to do so. <br /> <br /> <br />
