STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION 924-0'09 <br />APPROVING DONATION TO THE ANOKA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Historical Society (ACHS) signed a memorandum of <br />understanding with the city of Centerville in May 2021 accepting the responsibility for <br />maintaining and curating the contents of the display case at City Hall, and; <br />WHEREAS, the contents of the display case reflect archaeological and historical items <br />loaned to the city by members of the community, for a period of four to six months, with <br />the intended purpose of preserving local history, and; <br />WHEREAS, there is no direct cost to the city for ongoing work being done by ACHS, <br />other than reimbursable expenses for printing and display hardware, and; <br />WHEREAS, the city is not currently a member of the Anoka County Historical Society, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the city of Centerville would like to make a donation to the Anoka County <br />Historical Society, and; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Centerville and through its <br />City Council, hereby authorizes the approval of a donation to the Anoka County Historical <br />Society in the amount of $500.00 to be paid from the General Fund, and; <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the City Administrator or their designee, is authorized to <br />execute on behalf of the city/town, any documents necessary to effectuate this decision to <br />approve a donation to the Anoka County Historical Society. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville this 24th day of January 2024. <br />Mayor, D.
