CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: January 24, 2024 Administration/City Clerk IX.1 TITLE OF ISSUE: NY Liquor, 7093 Î 20th Avenue South (Effective March 4 Î Dec. 31, 2024) BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The current Off-Sale Liquor/Tobacco holders Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy Kostrzewski (dba JP's Liquor Wine and Beer, LLC) are selling their store effective March 4, 2024 to Yangyuki Yang (dba NY Liquor). All appropriate fees and documents have been completed along with a background check from Centennial Lakes Police Department of which is contained in your packet for review. Both current licenses are required to be relinquished to the City with the issuance of the licenses for NY Liquor as per state law two licenses cannot be issued to the same address for the same time periods. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: N/A REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Recommend approval of an Off Sale & Tobacco License for the premises 7093 - 20th Avenue South (dba NY Liquor - Yangyuki Yang) effective March 4 - December 31, 2024 with the current licensee's relinquishment of their licenses.
