ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Economic Development Authority (EDA)
At the January 29 EDA meeting, councilmember Raye Taylor was sworn into
office. EDA member Chris Swenson was also sworn into office for a new term.

Councilmember Raye Taylor
shown in image to the left.

EDA member Chris Swenson
shown in the image to the
right.

Quad Area Chamber Calendar
February 08, 2024 Î Monthly Board Meeting Î 12:00PM-1:00PM
February 13, 2024 Î Sip & Learn Î 10:15AM-11:15AM Î The Rookery Î Social Security and Retirement
February 15, 2024 Î Lunch & Learn Î 12:30PM-2:30PM Î Sign your Lease & Know your Rights --
Centennial Library

PUBLIC WORKS
ToolCat Power
About a year or so ago, the city purchased a ToolCat; a bit
more mobile version of a skidsteer. The versitility of this
piece of equipment has yielded a higher level of service
and better experience for our citizens using our parks and
trails. A thoughtful note from one of our citizens about
how they appreciate the sweeping and plowing we do on
our trails, is a great testament to the value of this purchase
and the hard work of our staff. Also, pictured here is our
ToolCat rigged up with some ÐZamboniÑ equipment
improvised by our staff to get indoor quality ice,
outdoors; albeit for the one and only cold week weÓve had
this year.

Water Tower
Consulting engineers, KLM, have finished their work in
performing some tests on the towerÓs paint to help
understand the scope and timing of a repaint. Staff will be
discussing the results of that report with the City Council at
an upcoming workshop.

Public Works Truck Replacements
Staff received confirmaiton that our 1-Ton pick-up is on
order. ThereÓs no word yet on a delivery date.
