City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />February 6, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />VIII. APPROVAL OF MIN UTES <br />1. January 2, 2024, Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Krueger to approve the <br />January 2, 2024, Planning and Zoning Commission minutes. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />1. Council Member Liaison <br />Council member Koski reported that there was a Fire Steering Committee meeting held on January <br />18 and they reviewed the budget; both revenues and expenditures were higher than budgeted and <br />the budget is about $25,000 - $30,000 higher than expected (year-end analysis is being finalized). <br /> <br />Council member Koski also reported that he recently attended the Anoka County Local Government <br />officials meeting (meetings are held quarterly). He reported that in 2023 the legislature passed a bill <br />on highways trunks that prohibit improvements from increasing traffic volumes. While there is not <br />a trunk highway in Centerville, Council Member Koski noted legislation like this could impact <br />development. <br /> <br />2. Administrator’s Report <br />City Administrator Statz reviewed the report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Kalina, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to adjourn the meeting <br />at 7:48 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />
