Anoka County Regional Economic Development <br />Partner Agency Meeting Summary <br />Rusty Bumblebee in Blaine <br />March 7, 2024 <br />Attending Partners - City of Centerville, Ramsey County, City of St. Francis, City of Blaine, <br />City of Lino Lakes, Connexus Energy, Metro North Chamber, MN DEED, MCCD (Metropolitan <br />Consortium of Community Developers). <br />Presentations <br />1. Story of the Rusty Bumblebee - The Rusty Bumblebee is a self-pour tap house located in <br />the Club West Plaza in Blaine (10950 Club W Pkwy NE #160, Blaine, MN 55449). The <br />owners were inspired to open the establishment after visiting the Duluth Tap Exchange. <br />More than thirty types of draft beer are offered. There is also live music and a pet friendly <br />patio with parking behind the building. <br /> <br />2. Town Center Redevelopment Project Î the City of Blaine is working with developers on a <br />th <br />new town center, around 105th Ave near 109 and Nassau Street NE, with mixed-use <br />development and opportunities for housing, retail, dining, and recreation. Greystar Development Î Ned Dodington, director of development for Greystar, provided <br />an overview of the types of projects they work on. They develop large-scale market rate <br />multifamily units. They own a modular manufactory factory that helps them keep <br />construction costs down. More information about Greystar can be found here: Real Estate <br />and Property | Greystar. <br /> <br />Updates <br />Anoka County Î Several applications for the open County Administrator position have been <br />received and a new administrator will be announced in May. <br /> <br />Coon Rapids Î staff is working on small projects like car washes. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes Î the staff is working on small projects and transportation projects. <br /> <br />MCCD Î Their revolving loan fund is now at 4% <br /> <br />Metro North Chamber Î the staff are working on a promotional piece that highlights communities <br />in the area. Centerville will be included in their marketing brochure. <br /> <br />
