<br />CENTERVILLE CARES <br />Senior/Low Income Property Tax Assistance in Anoka County <br />The Anoka County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has <br />scheduled several dates for seniors and people of low income to receive <br />property tax assistance from volunteer tax preparers. These volunteers will <br />answer property tax questions and assist in filling out M1PR forms, which are <br />then mailed to the Minnesota Department of Revenue. <br /> <br />The schedule for senior/low-income property tax assistance: <br /> 9 a.m. to noon June 11 at Mary Ann Young Center, 9150 Central Ave. NE Blaine <br /> 8 a.m. to noon June 12 at Coon Rapids Senior Center, 11155 Robinson, Dr., Coon Rapids <br /> 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 20 at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE, Columbia Heights <br /> 10 a.m. to noon June 27 at Ham Lake Senior Center, 15544 Central Ave. NE, Ham Lake <br /> 8 a.m. to noon July 8 at Coon Rapids Senior Center, 11155 Robinson Dr., Coon Rapids <br />th <br /> 9 a.m. to noon July 16 at Fridley Community Center, 6085 7 St. NE, Fridley <br /> 9 a.m. to noon July 17 at Mary Young Center, 9150 Central Ave. NE, Blaine <br /> <br />Limited virtual appointments will be available June 18-19 and July 23-24 for individuals unable to attend in <br />person by calling the appointment line: 763-324-1480. <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />New Committee Member <br />The committee swore in Committee Member Katya Port at their April 4, 2024, meeting. <br /> <br />The P & R committee recommended to City Council to enter into a contract extension for a two-year period <br />to appoint Rainbow Tree Services as the CityÓs preferred Emerald Ash Borer contractor. <br /> <br />The committee continues to discuss their Strategic Plan/Capital Improvement Projects. With the recent <br />Town Hall-Open House, Chair Heidi Errickson-Grahek was on hand to assist attendees with ranking <br />Community Projects and providing additional opportunities for amenities/projects that were not listed with <br />a write-in opportunity. The committee and city will continue to provide additional opportunities for <br />participation at local events and through various forms of engagement. Stay tuned and please participate in <br />shaping your city for the future. <br /> <br />Music in the Park <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson has <br />stated that he has confirmations for all <br />bands except one event associated with <br />Music in the Park this summer. Brian has <br />completed a fantastic feat and we all look <br />forward to the wonderful evening <br />performances at Hidden Spring Park. <br />Music in the Park commences June 11, <br />2024. <br /> <br />Main Street Market <br />If you are an artisan/crafter/food truck <br />vendor and would like to participate, click <br />here to register.
