<br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />WORK SESSION & CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 27, 2024 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their Work Session and their <br />regularly scheduled City Council Meeting on March 27, 2024, in Council Chambers and the meeting <br />was live streamed by North Metro TV. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION (5:00 PM) <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Approved <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Council Member Raye Taylor <br />Junior Council Member Avery Sauber (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Council Member Terry Sweeney <br /> City Attorney, Kurt Glaser <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator, Mark Statz <br /> Assistant City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br /> <br />II. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />1. Personnel Policy <br />City Administrator Statz reviewed the Request for Council Action that was included in the Council’s <br />packet. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the amount of vacation allotted to staff, use of City owned vehicle and <br />policy associated with that item, retaliation, the inclusion of the definition of a child (i.e., foster, birth, <br />adoption, etc.), whether the Jr. Council Member fit the definition of a volunteer and whether <br />seasonal/part-time employees could carry over their Earned Sick & Safe Time. <br />2. Fete des Lacs <br />Administrator Statz reviewed the Request for Council Action that was included in the Council’s packet. <br />Brief discussion took place regarding providing a donation to the Lions to include a minimum of events <br />(i.e., fireworks, parade and a family-fun, free events at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park during the <br />weekend of the event) or entering into a Memorandum of Understand for the same items. <br />3. Town Hall Take-Aways/2024-2025 Strategic Plan <br />Administrator Statz recapped the Town Hall meeting held on Monday, March 25, 2024 by stating that it <br />was very well attended and reviewed numerous comments/concerns: Traffic on Main Street, traffic <br />between the building site and the school, noise, height and drawings that show scale of building, school <br /> <br />
