CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />WORK SESSION & CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 24, 2024 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their Work Session and their <br />regularly scheduled City Council Meeting on April 24, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (respectively), <br />in Council Chambers. The regularly scheduled meeting (6:30 p.m.) was live streamed by North Metro <br />TV. <br />WORK SESSIONJj PM' <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />1. Delegation of Authority for Paying Certain Claims <br />Finance Director DeJong reviewed his memorandum that was included in the packet. <br />Discussion ensued regarding preapproval of vendors, utility vendors being automatically being <br />preapproval, having a conservative approach regarding payments without prior approval, continued <br />process of providing a check list in the packet and that staff would be drafting a policy for a future <br />agenda item. <br />2. Block 7 Development Proposal <br />Administrator Statz reviewed the information that was included in the Council's packet. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of moving the trail that runs through the edge of the parcels, <br />the interested developer is interested in securing the two parcels to the west and that a ghost plat may be <br />a viable option for making a decision on relocation of the trail for future discussion. <br />3.
