VETERANS <br />Memorial Day Veterans Breakfast <br />th <br />On May 25 the City recognized our <br />veterans, those currently serving, and <br />their families by providing a free <br />breakfast at KellyÓs Korner from <br />9:00a.m. Î 11:00a.m. The event was <br />part of the cityÓs commitment to our <br />Yellow Ribbon City designation. There <br />was a great turnout. Staff enjoyed <br />meeting everyone and Mayor D. Love <br />also showed up to visit with families. <br />The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon <br />(BTYR) organization was also there to <br />hand out pins and provide resources for <br />those who have served and are currently <br />serving. <br /> <br />Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve Construction Project Update <br />th <br />Intermittent Park Closures Starting on June 4 <br />The park is currently open to the public. All roads, trails, beach parking lot and boat launch parking lots are <br />gravel. The tentative schedule for paving roadways and trails is mid-July. There will be intermittent closures <br />of the boat launch during construction. Starting on June 4, access to the launch will be closed as the <br />contractor will be working on soil corrections on the roadway from the beach parking lot to the boat launch <br />parking lot. The launch reconstruction is anticipated to occur in a couple weeks.
