City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />May 15, 2024 <br />2. Year to Date Financials <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the financial report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Taylor to approve the <br />financial report as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />3. Ongoing Programs: <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Ongoing Programs report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />4. AdministratorÓs Report <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the AdministratorÓs Report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Main Street Enhancements <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about <br />the quote that Simple and Grand provided for seasonal planters (various options). The EDA <br />decided to go with four seasons and a total of fourteen planters (2 round 2Ñ planters outside of city <br />hall and 12 26Ñ planters along Main Street and Centerville Road.). <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Taylor to approve the <br />quote from Simple and Grand in the amount of $9,191.48 for seasonal planters for all four <br />seasons. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />2. EDA Program Review Î Center Stage Program Review <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about <br />the existing program, as well as additional services that could be provided by Main Street <br />Marketers and Lonni Olson Design & Consulting. There was consensus about increasing the <br />variety of marketing programs to include the digital services the board discussed. <br />Motion by President Remillard, seconded by Commissioner Taylor to authorize staff to work <br />with graphic designers on digital marketing services for local businesses. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Budget for 2025 <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about <br />the line items and the EDA requested the following revisions: <br /> +500 for Appreciation/Events (Business Appreciation) <br /> +315 Dues & Subscriptions (MNCAR, Other) <br /> +13,000 Professional Services (Planters, Placemaking, Lights) <br /> +10,000 Revolving Loan & Grant Program <br /> +1,000 Promotional Items (Misc) <br /> +475 for Legal Review <br /> +10,000 Opportunity Fund Contribution <br />3 <br /> <br />
