<br />Adavits of Candidacy will be accepted from ǒĻƭ͵Ͳ WǒƌǤ ЌЉͲ ЋЉЋЍΓǒĻƭ͵Ͳ !ǒŭǒƭƷ ЊЋͲ
<br />2024, during City Hall oce hours (M-F, 7:30-4) and Tues., August 13, 2024, from 7:30-
<br />5. Oces for which Adavits of Candidacy will be accepted are: Mayor (2 Year Term,
<br />2025-2026); 2 Council Member seats (4 Year Term, 2025-2028) and 1 Council Member seat (special elecon,
<br />2 Year Term, 2025-2026). The fee is $2. The Adavit of Candidacy is available on the Secretary of States
<br />Oce website, must be notarized and the dates should ĭƚźƓĭźķĻ ǞźƷŷ WǒƌǤ ЌЉͲ ЋЉЋЍΑ!ǒŭǒƭƷ ЊЌͲ ЋЉЋЍ͵ {Ʒğ
<br />would recommend that if you are interested in running for oce, you stop by City Hall to obtain a packet. If

<br />Time Commitment for Mayor or Council Members
<br />Council meeƓŭƭΓƒĻĻƷ ƷŷĻ ЋƓķ ğƓķ ЍƷŷ ĻķƓĻƭķğǤ ƚŅ ƷŷĻ ƒƚƓƷŷ ğƷ /źƷǤ IğƌƌΜ Ώ ğƷ mes this may vary if a
<br />meeng needs to be rescheduled or an addional meeng is called by the Chair/Sta during the month.
<br />Meengs commence generally at 6:30 p.m. At mes, this may vary if a Work Session has been called with
<br />proper noce. Meengs generally last unl 9 p.m., but also varies. However, the 4th Wednesday of the
<br />month has a Work Session aached to it which commences at 5 p.m. and goes unl 6:30 p.m. when the regu-
<br />lar meeng commences.
<br />The Mayor and Council Members generally serve on several addional boards as liaisons throughout their
<br />period of serving (e.g., Police Commission, North Metro Television Commission, Centennial Fire Steering,
<br />Parks & Rec., Planning & Zoning, EDA, etc.) Generally, these meengs take place throughout the serving ar-
<br />ea, may commence at 5-А Ʀ͵ƒ͵ΓВ Ʀ͵ƒ͵ ĬǒƷ mes vary. These boards also have the ability to schedule addi-
<br />onal meengs outside of their regularly scheduled meeng dates. There are also learning opportunies for
<br />elected ocials that take place throughout their period of serving that the City would encourage their parc-
<br />ipaon in. Any and all events/acvies of the City are a wonderful me to meet residents, program coordi-
<br />nators, other Commiee/Commission members, show community support, etc.
