City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />May 22, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Approve both the <br />Preliminary and Final Plat for the Drilling Estates as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report – Administrator Statz stated that his report was contained in <br />the packet and that he would be happy to address any questions from the Council. He provided <br />the Council with a brief review. He stated that the Public Hearing regarding Tax Increment <br />Financing (TIF) would be on June 12, 2024, at St. Genevieve’s Community Parish Center <br />commencing at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis reported that 26,000 gallons/day were released for the Alum <br />Treatment of Centerville Lake for a total of 200,000 gallons for the treatment period. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Taylor – <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Taylor gave a call out for local <br />businesses to provide “swag”/branded material for the upcoming Fete des Lacs swag bags <br />provided by the board and stated that they would need 150 by June 21, 2024. Council <br />Member Taylor stated that the Committee would be expanding the offerings to local <br />businesses who utilized the CenterStage program. She also stated that the EDA would be <br />purchasing live floral arrangements that would be placed in the downtown area along <br />Main Street. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – Stated that he was unable to attend the upcoming Veterans Breakfast hosted by the City <br />at Kelly’s Korner and that he thanked the city for this event. He welcomed the newly hired <br />Public Works Maintenance Technician, Alex Barmettler. <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> (ii) Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> <br />c. Sweeney - Stated that he was also unable to attend the Veterans breakfast. <br />(i) Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br />(ii) Parks & Recreation Committee – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br />(iii) Fire Protection Council – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher stated that some reminder, digital <br />speed signs had been ordered and would be placed throughout the community as a <br />reminder to drivers and that two officers had been recently hired for a total of 17. <br /> <br />e.
