Airtransportationfacilitiesthatconductdeicingactivities. <br />ii. FiltrationSystem <br />1) Filtrationoptionsinclude,butarenotlimitedto:sandfilterswithunderdrains,biofiltration <br />areas,swalesusingunderdrainswithimpermeablecheckdamsandundergroundsand <br />filters; <br />2) Mustnotinstallfiltermediauntilthecontributingdrainageareaisconstructedandfully <br />stabilizedunlesstheyproviderigorouserosionpreventionandsedimentcontrols(e.g., <br />diversionberms)tokeepsedimentandrunoffcompletelyawayfromthefiltrationarea; <br />3) Designedtoremoveatleast80percentofTSS; <br />4) Mustuseapretreatmentdevicesuchasavegetatedfilterstrip,smallsedimentation <br />basin,waterqualityinlet,forebayorhydrodynamicseparatortoremovesettleablesolids, <br />floatingmaterials,andoilsandgreasefromtherunofftothemaximumextentpracticable, <br />beforerunoffentersthefiltrationsystem; <br />5) DesignedtoprovideawaterqualityvolumeasdescribedinSection3.b.iii,3.b.iv,and3.b.v; <br />6) Designedtodischargeallstormwater(includingstormwaterinexcessofthewaterquality <br />volume)routedtothesystemthroughtheuppermostsoilsurfaceorengineeredmedia <br />surfacewithin48hours.Additionalflowsthatthesystemcannotfilterwithin48hours <br />mustbypassthesystemordischargethroughanemergencyoverflow; <br />7) Designedtoprovideameanstovisuallyverifythesystemisdischargingthroughthesoil <br />surfaceorfiltermediawithin48hours; <br />8) Employappropriateonsitetestingtoensureaminimumofthree(3)feetofseparation <br />betweentheseasonallysaturatedsoils(orfrombedrock)andthebottomoftheproposed <br />filtrationsystem; <br />9) Constructwithanimpermeablelinerwhenthesystemhaslessthanthree(3)feetof <br />separationbetweenseasonallysaturatedsoilsorbedrock; <br />10) Designedwithamaintenanceaccess,typicallyeight(8)feetwide. <br />iii.
