PARKS & RECREATION <br />Music in the Park <br />We hope you can join us at <br />Hidden Spring Park at 6:30 <br />p.m. on Tuesday evenings. <br />Wiseguys is on hand for <br />fresh pizza if you want to <br />purchase. <br /> <br />Vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />Committee vacancy: If you are interested in serving on the <br />Committee, they meet the first Wednesday evening of every <br />month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, unless otherwise scheduled. <br />The Committee makes recommendations for park programming <br />and equipment purchases/parks improvements. <br /> <br />Many of the Committee Members also serve as volunteers for <br />many program offerings (e.g.., Music in the Park, Main Street <br />Market, annual Skate/Sledding events, Trunk or Treat, etc.) <br /> <br />Ask staff for an application, go to our web site for an application or check out a meeting to determine if this <br />is a good fit for you. <br /> <br />Committee July Meeting Cancelled <br />With the Independence Holiday, the regularly scheduled July 3 meeting was cancelled. The next meeting <br />of the Committee is scheduled for August 7, 2024, commencing at 6:30 p.m. here at City Hall in Council <br />Chambers. Administrator Statz and Public Works Director Palzer will be on hand to discuss the following <br />topics with the Committee: Capital Improvement Projects, Budget and Park Dedication Fees. <br /> <br />2024 ELECTIONS UPDATE <br />State Primary <br />We have commenced into the Absentee Voting <br />(Envelope process) for the State Partisan Primary <br />Election. Friday, June 28, 2024—July 25, 2024, M- <br />F, 7:30-4 you may vote early either by requesting an <br />Absentee Ballot from Anoka County Elections or <br />appearing at City Hall. July 26, 2024—August 11, <br />2024, M-F, 7:30-4, you may vote via Direct <br />Balloting (Ballot is placed directly into the ballot <br />counter) either at City Hall or Anoka County <br />Elections Office. (Special Hours: August 10, 2024, <br />Sat., 9-3 and August 12, 2024, 7:30-5). Primary <br />Election Day is August 13, 2024, from 7 a.m.—8 <br />p.m. and Centerville’s polling place is located at St. Genevieve’s Community Parish Center <br />(Fellowship Hall), 6995 Centerville Road, Centerville, MN 55038. Offices on the ballot are: United <br />States Senator & United States Representative, District 6.
