Next steps will be to work with the county and the City <br />of Lino Lakes to sync up our respective capital improvement plans so that we can begin budgeting for these <br />improvements, many of which are 5 to 10 years out. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />Solar on Public Buildings Grant <br />The city received notice from the MN Department of Commerce letting us know that we have been selected <br />to submit a full grant application, after passing the initial stage of the vetting process, which assessed our <br />site readiness. The application is due in late September. If awarded the grant could cover 60% of the costs, <br />up to $72,000, with a federal tax rebate covering a large portion of the remaining 40%. <br /> <br />Water Tower <br />Consulting engineers, KLM, have finished their work in performing some tests on the tower’s paint to help <br />understand the scope and timing of a repaint. Staff will be discussing the results of that report with the City <br />Council at an upcoming workshop. <br /> <br />Public Works Truck Replacements <br />The 1-ton truck has been delivered and has now been sent out to be outfitted with the dump box and plow <br />assemblies. <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Nite to Unite <br />Participate with neighbors across Circe Pines, Lexington and Centerville on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 for <br />Night to Unite in Minnesota. Sponsored by the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association and your local Law <br />Enforcement agency. Join us on Night to Unite to celebrate and strengthen neighborhood and community <br />partnerships. <br />Night to Unite is designed to: <br />1. Get to know one another in your neighborhood; <br />2. Build positive relations between neighbors as well as your local police and fire agencies; <br />3.
