<br />Administrator’sReport <br />August 28, 2024 <br />2024 ELECTIONS UPDATE <br />State Primary Elections (August 13, 2024, Recap) <br />The City of Centerville processed three absentee/envelope process ballots, eight direct ballots in the 46 days <br />prior to election day. On election day, Election Judges assisted 187 voters and registered 5 new voters. The <br />turnout was very low for this cycle at 6% of registered voters at 7 a.m. on election day. <br />Municipal Elections <br />The filing period for municipal elections has now ended. The candidates for Centerville’s Mayoral and City <br />Council races on November 5, 2024, are: <br />Mayor (2-year Term) <br />•D. Love <br />•Nancy Golden <br />Council (2-Year Term; 1 seat) – Special Election <br />•Anita Rios <br />Council (4-Year Term; 2 seats) <br />•Russ Koski <br />•David Kubat <br />•Garland Port <br />Keep your eyes open for candidate <br />interviews, biographies and debates on <br />NorthMetro TV public access channel <br />and in the local papers (Quad <br />Press/Citizen). Election day is November <br />5, 2024, St. Genevieve’s Community <br />Parish, 6995 LaMotte Drive from 7 a.m. – <br />8 p.m. Early voting information is <br />available on Anoka County’s website. <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Movie in the Park <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee’s <br />annual Movie in the Park will take place <br />on September 14. Please join them for <br />free popcorn and lemonade. Please bring <br />a lawn chair, blanket and family and <br />friends.
