CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR ACTION Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: September 16, 2024 Administration/EDA IX.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: Holiday Lights for City Hall & Decorations BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: At the last EDA meeting the Board discussed installation of outdoor multi-color led lights at City Hall. Staff has included a quote in the packet for the Board's consideration. The quote is based on the front and sides of the building, excluding the attached Fire Department, because the aforementioned lights will not work onflat roof. The installation area measures about 150 feet and staff recommends purchasing 200 lights so they could be used to replace broken lights o in other places if needed. The white lights that were installed on the building last year could be installed Fire Department. Since we already have white lights, we would not need to purchase them. With subscription for planters the winter, staff is requesting th EDA consider a larger planter downtown. The City has a large planter we would just need flowers. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Between $550-$ REQUESTED ACTION: Motion to authorize staff to purchase multi-color led holiday lights and flowers for the winter months.
