CenterPointEnergy.com/IQor call their hotline at <br />612-321-HOME. <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />Holiday Lighting <br />The Centerville Economic Development Authority met on September 16and discussed holiday lighting for the <br />tree in front of City Hall and the City Hall building. The lights will be multi-color with an interactive <br />component. <br />Open Seat <br />Council will declare a Board vacancy at their September 25 Council meeting and then applications will be <br />accepted to fill the seat. <br />Small Business Saturday <br />The Board discussed how they would support local business for Small Business Saturday, a shop local event <br />intended to celebrate local businesses for all they do for the community. Staff will meet with the Centennial <br />Area Chamber (formerly the Quad Area Chamber) to brainstorm ideas. Staff will reach out soon to area <br />businesses to gauge their interest in event participation. <br />Placemaking <br />recommendation to purchase a 7-pot Grande Fiore Tree. The EDA is open to providing financial support to <br />enhance features with a smaller tree or customization features that exceeds the approved budget from the <br />Park Dedication Fund. The Board recommended that the EDA and City Council have an opportunity to see <br />what the trees look like (via a field trip).The EDAis looking forward toprovidinginput on the designof <br />the <br />efforts. <br />Recognitions Around Town <br />The St. Genevive fence has had a makeover along Main Street. Please see the image below. The Centerville <br />EDA approved a grant to provide matching funds through their Revolving Loan and Grant Program (RLGP). <br />The RLGP program provides 50% match for façade enhancements and other exterior improvements for <br /> <br />
