CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Krueger called the regular meeting to order at 6:31p.m. <br /> <br />1. PUBLIC HEARING (6:30 PM or shortly thereafter) <br /> <br />1. Variance Request 7214 LaValle Drive Second Driveway Access <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item as presented in the packet, reviewing the staff memo, <br />the City Code, and state statue as it pertains to variances. Administrator Statz noted that variance <br />requests require the applicant to demonstrate that their request: <br /> <br />1. Is reasonable <br />2. Is unique and not caused by their actions <br />3. Maintains the essential character of the neighborhood <br /> <br />Chair Krueger opened the public hearing and asked the applicant to explain his reason(s) for his <br />request. Applicant Mr. Colin Olson addressed the Commission to explain that he was trying to <br />improve the property. The Planning Commission asked a few clarifying questions about the use <br />of the underground storage, curb cuts, materials for the driveway, and comments from neighbors. <br /> <br />
