<br />Administrator’sReport <br />October 9, 2024 <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Trunk or Treat (October 26, 2024) <br />The event will be taking place in the Centerville <br />Elementary School Parking Lot (South End) on <br />October 26, 2024 from 9:30—11:30 a.m. Local <br />businesses will be participating along with <br />(Centennial Fire, Centennial Lakes police, M- <br />Health Fairview, and the City’s Public Works <br />Department) The event follows the 7th Annual <br />Centennial Community Education Halloween <br />Hustle 5K. The 5K is a fun run, costumes are <br />acceptable, well-behaved animals are also <br />allowed and there is a half mile kids turnaround <br />so all ages can join. <br />If you are a business interested in having a <br />vehicle in the Trunk or Treat event, please <br />register at: <br />https://forms.gle/dUdJHP4vAccVdmgZA. <br />Registrations must be received before October 10 <br />for the run. <br />Please visit their web site at: <br />https://isd12.ce.eleyo.com/course/5216/fall- <br />2024/halloween-hustle-5k. <br />Movie in the Park <br />Garfield was a hit, with around 100 people <br />attending this year’s Movie in the Park. Thanks <br />to all the volunteers and those whocame out. <br />ELECTIONS <br />Early Voting <br />Just a reminder that early voting is now available during regular business hours, at City Hall (M-F; 7:30 AM <br />– 4:00 PM). Our elections staff has already handled around 40 voters. <br />CENTERVILLE CARES <br />As you know, there are several non-profit organizations that arededicated to <br />helping those most vulnerable by providing meals to food pantriesand by <br />promoting hunger awareness. <br />The Centennial Fire District, in partnership with Meals from the Heart, is <br />hosting a meal packing event at Fire District #3 on October 26. Volunteers <br />will be packing 20,000 meals that will be provided to food pantries in the Centennial District area. If you or <br />someone you know is interested in hosting a meal packing event of your ownthen you can learn more at: <br />https://mealsfromtheheart.org/. <br /> <br />
