City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 11, 2024 <br />Junior Council Member Sauber stated that most sports were now up and running. She stated that <br />homecoming was the following week with all celebrations commencing today. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Taylor – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br />(i) Economic Development Authority - Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski reported earlier in the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />(ii) Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski wanted to thank the fire fighters for <br />being on the bridge over 35W & Main Street in honor of 9/11. <br /> <br />c. Sweeney – <br />(i) Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br />(ii) Parks & Recreation Committee – Council Member Sweeney he stated that the committee <br />appointed a new Vice Chair, Katya Port, scheduled Volunteer Appreciation Day for <br />October 22, 2024 at 6 p.m., Main Street Market was very successful, Trunk or Treat and <br />Skate/Sled Nights for January 10 and February 15, 2025. <br />(iii) Fire Protection Council – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – Council Member Mosher stated that he attended a Hugo Business meeting for breakfast <br />where there were presentation from Public Safety Departments. <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Love – Mayor Love thanked EDA Members Mosher, Swenson and Assistant City Administrator <br />Lewis for attending the Hugo Business meeting. Mayor Love stated that the League of MN Cities <br />Board of Directors, and Intergovernmental Relations Staff thanked Ms. Lewis for her time and <br />facilitating the meetings for the Improving General Service Delivery Committee. The Mayor <br />thanked her for her time also. Mayor Love also stated that the Centennial Fire District would be <br />organizing a Meal Packing Event for Saturday, October 26, 2024 between 8:30-9:30 and 10-11 <br />a.m and if any one was interested they should sign up. Mayor Love also recognized the service of <br />the Centennial Fire District for the 9/11 Ceremony on the bridge. <br />(i) North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love gave no report. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. <br />(iii) Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> <br />XI.
