COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Open Seat <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission will be accepting the resignation of one of its members this month, <br />meaning that there will be an opening on the board. Interested candidates should contact city hall for an <br />application or you can find one online at www.centervillemn.com <br /> <br />Next Meeting <br />The next meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be November 12. This meeting was moved <br />from its regularly scheduled date due to the election. <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />At the November 12 meeting, the commission will hold public hearings on: <br /> Retail Sales of Cannabis <br /> A Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning of 1687 Westview Street (LaLonde property) <br />from M-2 Mixed Use Neighborhood to P-1 Public for the potential expansion of Centerville <br />Elementary School. <br /> <br />1687 Westview Street (LaLonde Property) <br />An application for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the guided land use from Central Business <br />District/Mixed Use to Public/Institutional, along with an application for a subsequent rezoning from M-2 <br />Mixed Use Neighborhood to P-1 Public were jointly submitted by the landowner and school district on <br />October 15, 2024. A public hearing for these zoning applications will be held on November 12, at 6:30 PM <br />at City Hall. See the published notice in the paper for more information. <br /> <br />stnd <br />Old Mill Estates 1 and 2 Additions <br />The development security has been reduced to $20,000, pending receipt of approval from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District of the final wetland delineation. <br /> <br /> <br />
