CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />November 13, 2024 <br />Administration <br />WS 2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />North Metro Telecommunications Commission Discussion <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />For the past year or so, the North Metro Telecommunications Commission has been discussing ways to combat <br />a declining revenue source for the organization as families "cut the cord". NMTC leadership has been finding <br />ways to diversify our revenue stream and gain efficiencies. The NMTC board has also asked leadership to <br />explore the potential of merging with another organization, hoping to find larger gains in efficiencies and <br />perhaps, a higher level of service or wider media reach.
