They meet the first Wednesday of every month here at City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
One of the things that I need to know is what are you asking of the Committee/Council to provide? Is it information to
residents, is it funding for treating trees, etc.
As stated previously, we have provided information to our residents in the past regarding Emerald Ash Borer
Disease. We have also spoken with an arborist regarding treatment and whether the effects have already taken place or
started with most trees in the community.
He quoted that it is$20/inch of diameter of treatment and the treatment needs to be done every year. The tree may
survive but odds are not.
Are you look for similar information like this on the City's web site: https://ci.anoka.mn.us/709/Emerald-Ash-Borer-
EAB#:—:text=MN%20Department%20of%20Natural%20Resources%20%27Preparing%20for%20Emerald,grant%20fundin
g%2C%20one%20tree%20needs%20to%20be%20planted.
Please let me know how you would like to move forward.
Sincerely,
Teresa
From: Matt Frevel <frevelmatt@yahoo.com>
Sent:Tuesday, March 8, 2022 11:36 AM
To:Teresa Bender<TBender@centervillemn.com>
Subject: Emerald Ash Borer
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
Good morning Teresa,
I talked to you briefly last week about my concerns for the spread of Emerald Ash Borer in
Centerville. I have been in contact with some experts and am putting together a presentation with my
concerns for Centerville and Ideas for management. I don't know if I will have everything together for the
city counsel meeting tomorrow, but I would like to attend to get my concerns raised ASAP. This disease
will wipe out all untreated Ash trees in our area. Many of the trees are already showing signs of
infestation, but could be saved if treated this spring. I think the residents and businesses of Centerville
