CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />December 5, 2024 <br />Administration <br />VII. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Modify City Hall Hours for December 24, 2024 <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The Christmas Holiday falls on a Wednesday this year, so City Hall will be closed on that day. The city's <br />holiday schedule does not include Christmas Eve as a paid holiday (although we have a floating holiday <br />available). Typically, on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), foot traffic at City Hall is light since most folks are out <br />doing things other than paying their bills or applying for permits. Therefore, staff is asking to have truncated <br />hours on Tuesday, December 24, ending at 2 PM, rather than the normal 4 PM closing.
